Stop Group, an R&D and innovation company, added the Vertical Wind Tunnel, a first and completely innovative in Turkey, to its product range. The tunnel has a CE certificate and it has been confirmed that it fully complies with EU and international standards. Let’s enter the Vertical Wind Tunnel World together.<\/p>\n

A vertical wind tunnel is a system that moves air upward in a vertical column. Thanks to the vertically created wind force, it allows people to fly in the air without an airplane or parachute. It is often referred to as “body flight\/body flight”, “aerodynamic simulator\/aerodynamic simulator” and “flying body\/body flying”. The product, especially designed to meet the training needs of freestyle paratroopers, is produced for military or recreational purposes. Allows free fall training in all weather conditions.In addition to providing low speeds at which free fall training can be given to an average weight person, the tunnel, which provides strong and safe airflow to allow 3 paratroopers with fully equipped weights to fly together, is one of the best among its kind in the world. It has a competitive design.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the wind tunnel, the training of people who have never experienced a free fall environment is facilitated, while those who have this experience can safely perform all kinds of maneuvers.<\/p>\n

In the tunnel, which provides the wind force required to enable the paratroopers to do their free fall training on the ground, the speed required for the training of an average parachutist can be obtained by consuming 560 kW of power. Having a power reserve far above these power levels, it is also possible to fly at higher speeds if desired.<\/p>\n

The control system of the tunnel is equipped with touch screens, allowing to monitor all the data coming from the system instantly, and offers a user-friendly control environment thanks to a modern user interface.<\/p>\n

The wind moves upward at approximately 195 km\/h (120 mph or 55 m\/s). It is often called “skydiving” because the feeling of flying is very similar to skydiving.<\/p>\n

Body Flight\/Body Flight<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Body Flight is the art of ‘flying your body’ in a controlled manner. This includes mid-air turns, roll, lateral movement, drop velocity control and other aerobatics. While jumping from the plane, it is ensured that the parachutists fly closer to each other at the time of fall, connect together in the formation parachute, and then fly to a safe distance before opening the parachutes. With a vertical wind tunnel, many body flight skills can be learned to allow paratroopers to better control their body in the sky.<\/p>\n

Body flight is accomplished by increasing\/decreasing your body drag, using arms and legs as rudders for body flight motion control, as well as other techniques similar to maneuvers performed by an airplane. Apart from these, professional athletes who fly long distances in the air, such as ski jumping, also used certain body flight techniques to increase their jump distance by manipulating their bodies to be more like wings.<\/p>\n

Closed vertical wind tunnels include recirculating and non-recirculating types. Recirculating wind tunnels are similar to a scientific wind tunnel, but using a vertical loop with a body flight chamber within a vertical part of the loop, creating an aerodynamic loop with rotating blades. Recirculating wind tunnels are often built in climates that are too cold for non-recirculating wind tunnels. The airflow of an indoor vertical wind tunnel is generally smoother and more controlled than that of an outdoor unit. Indoor tunnels are more temperature controlled, so they are operated year-round, even in cold climates.<\/p>\n
